Why I'm Ready for Fall

Though I’m definitely a ‘Spring’ type of person, I always eagerly await the start of Fall. So without further ado – here’s why I’m ready for it to be Fall!
It’s time for a change. I don’t know about you all, but I’m ready for something new. I’m ready to be able to be done with my shorts and sleeveless tees. I’m ready for it to be warm enough for me to drink tea and other hot beverages all hours of the day. I’m ready for that crisp fall air that just says ‘Something new is on the way!’
Halloween is on the way! In about four-ish short weeks, it’ll be time to don our costumes and go demand free candy from strangers (and loved ones). While that’s no fun to do in the freezing snow, it adds to the excitement when there’s a little chill in the air. It nips playfully at the heels of children as they run from one house to the next. And who doesn’t love the feel of Halloween?
It’s time for jumping in the leaves (duh). This is a little hard to do without leaves on the ground, don’t you think?
I need to mix up my wardrobe. I’m missing my heavy sweaters and warm scarves. My leather boots need to be dusted off, and I can’t wait for fall sales! Spring in my town often gets lost somewhere between the freezing winter and hot summers – it’s an interlude too brief to prompt any immediate change! But fall, on the other hand, is the perfect time to revamp my closet, and I’m definitely looking forward to it.
It means the Holidays are almost upon us! No, I don’t like hearing Christmas music on the radio in October. I don’t like seeing Christmas specials on Thanksgiving. In fact, this all makes me lazier about my Christmas shopping. But I love knowing that the holidays are coming up!! The rustle of leaves against pavement is the perfect warning – everything is up and coming! It’s the perfect time to start testing out recipes with pumpkin and fall-esque spices. It’s when you can start to look ahead to warm memories and great times with friends and family.
